Michael James Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley 2008

NVWE NOTES: Elegantly rich and neatly balanced, the nose of this fine bottling offers ripe plum and pomegranate syrup notes and hints of sour cherry, tied to pretty vanilla and baking spice scents an a hint of black peppercorn. It is initially tightly-wound and a trace coarse, but it unfolds with airing as a supple, round, satisfying Cab, with a fine fruit and spice mix, good length and fine food-matchablity. It should get only better over the next two years, but will do quite nicely now, if decanted and served with richly-sauced meat dishes. Blended with 2% Cabernet Franc, 75 cases produced.
